miguel isaza is a sound artist, composer and philosopher from Medellin, Colombia.
his music, installation works and sound pieces blend ancient and contemporary ideas and technologies of sonority to create experiences of reflection, meditation, attentive listening and immersion, crossing acoustic instruments, field recording, synthesizers, digital/analog processing and the human voice.
his research and writing investigate on microsound, the process of silence, the forms of listening and the materiality/immateriality of sound, putting its scientific, spiritual, artistic, therapeutic and social dimensions into dialogue.
co-founder and member of ÉTER audiovisual laboratory, where he works at ÉTER Editions label, Silencio Sonoro space for sound healing and meditation, Auditum listening platform and festival, momoto studio and Espectral journal. Also created Sonic Field, Designing Sound and oasis blogs.
